List on Sylt
In the far north. So close to the sea.
The northernmost town on Sylt is also the northernmost tip of Germany. The Wadden Sea and the North Sea flow into each other here and it feels like Rømø in Denmark is just a stone’s throw away. Anyone arriving on the FRS Sylt ferry will get to know the island from one of the most beautiful perspectives. The view of the List landscape, the harbor and island life from the ship is like a warm welcome. An extraordinary highlight in List is the “Ellenbogen”, a kind of peninsula that is privately owned. The nature reserve with its large bay on the east side is a kitesurfing and windsurfing paradise. List is busiest in and around the harbor. Fish stalls, fashion stores and art galleries fit perfectly into the maritime scene here. The municipality offers wonderful corners and beaches for relaxing, lots of enjoyment and wellness facilities.
